Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
printf.app products try to collect as little as possible. The categories below are the complete list as of the current version; any future additions will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
- Email address — when you subscribe to the wait-list, purchase a license via Lemon Squeezy, or email our support address.
- License activation metadata — device identifier (random UUID generated at first launch, not tied to your hardware), activation timestamp, IP at activation time, and the features included in your license.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (our Merchant of Record). We do not store your payment method or card number.
- Anonymous usage telemetry — TODO decide whether to ship telemetry and, if yes, what events. Must be opt-in and shipped with a clearly labelled toggle in Settings.
2. How we use it
- Deliver the product you purchased (license activation, updates).
- Respond to support requests.
- Send a single "launch" email to wait-list subscribers.
- Enforce license terms (detect widespread token sharing).
3. Third parties
- Lemon Squeezy — Merchant of Record for all sales, handles payment, sales tax, refunds, and receipts. Their privacy policy applies to the purchase flow.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (license emails, support replies). Processes email addresses as a data processor under our instructions.
- Cloudflare — hosts the printf.app website, DNS, and the license-validation Worker. IP addresses are visible in Cloudflare's edge logs for up to 30 days.
- Apple / Microsoft / GitHub — app notarisation, code signing, and update distribution use their services; usage data visible to them is governed by their privacy policies.
4. Retention
- Email address (wait-list) — deleted on unsubscribe.
- License activation records — kept while the license is active, deleted 2 years after expiry.
- Support email threads — kept 2 years after last reply.
- Cloudflare edge logs — 30 days.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, PIPL and equivalent frameworks you can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
6. Children
printf.app products are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes
Material changes to this policy are announced via email (for paid users) and on the website at least 30 days before taking effect.
