End User License Agreement
DRAFT This page is a placeholder. The final EULA must be written before the first paid release and linked from the Lemon Squeezy checkout page. What follows is a structural skeleton — every section must be filled in with copy reviewed by a lawyer familiar with HK / EU / US software licensing.
1. Acceptance of terms
By installing, activating, or using cmdbook ("the Software") or any other software distributed under the printf.app brand, you agree to be bound by this End User License Agreement.
2. License grant
TODO — scope of use, seat count, personal vs commercial, perpetual vs subscription, updates window. Pull terms from the chosen plan (Lifetime: perpetual use of the then-current major version + 1 year of updates; Annual: ongoing use + updates while subscription is active).
3. Restrictions
- No reverse engineering, decompilation, or disassembly except as permitted by applicable law.
- No redistribution of activation tokens or the Software itself.
- No removal of copyright or licensing notices.
- No use in violation of applicable laws or sanctioned-party restrictions.
4. Intellectual property
The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights, title and interest in the Software remain with printf.app and its contributors.
5. Third-party components
The Software bundles open-source components. The license texts
of those components are reproduced in the THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES
file distributed with each release.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. TODO — standard disclaimer, boilerplate.
7. Limitation of liability
TODO — cap liability to amount paid in the preceding 12 months, exclude indirect / consequential damages, standard IP indemnity limits.
8. Term and termination
TODO — automatic termination on material breach, survival of sections 4 / 6 / 7 / 9.
9. Governing law
TODO — Hong Kong law + HKIAC arbitration if the legal entity is Statrys-registered, else match jurisdiction.
